Mom, I think having a doily on a chair might make you officially an old lady... ;)
Believe it or not, the doily actually serves a valuable purpose, besides being *quaint*.....it keeps the oil from people's heads from darkening the fabric on the chair. That dark, oily, discoloration is almost impossible to get out.
I would say that the fact that you 1) know that, and 2) own a chair that it would make a difference if it got "hair stains" on it, just further confirms... ;)
Or maybe it just makes you a grown-up...not sure :)
I think you've posted a pic of that part of your sun room before and I really envy it. I can't wait until I have a little sun porch to sit an drink tea in the morning.
