Sarah I lightened your picture because it was too dark to really make out anything. I hope that was OK. Also, hope the cougar is not a danger to you guys where you will be doing your Knit N Nature thing.

Sarah's a roller derby groupie!

Mom, I'm glad to see that you and Fred are getting out doing things :)

Cougar's here are sort of like grizzlies where you are. They are definitely here, and they will definitely attack humans. Very occasionally, they will be hanging out near a town and everyone will get all worked up about it. This one was seen crossing the Safeway parking lot near where we live. The sign was at a nearby wildlife refuge. Of course, as soon as I heard about it, I headed down there to see if I could find any tracks. Alas, there's a lot of underbrush and the trails are all rock, so no tracks.

I'm really not any more likely to see a cougar there than out in the deep forest. But it sure kept my senses on full alert to be walking through there anyway. Made me think that I should probably be that aware *every* time that I'm walking in the woods.

Fred and I are going to the Fair in Great Falls tomorrow night when he gets off work. It will be the first time we've been seen together "in public" since our first "visit" for late lunch and drinks that night. He seems to ascribe some kind of meaning to that that isn't clear to me and he seems a little anxious about it all. Oh, well, sometimes he just needs a little coaxing. :)

Mom, I'm glad you lightened the pic, because it shows up now just as I saw it on my computer. I like that it's too dark to make out any details, but just enough to know what's going on. And yes, I'm totally a groupie. I even bought a little light up toy gun to shoot during the bout, haha.

And Mom, you're really turning me around about this whole living in Montana thing. Your pics are just breathtakingly beautiful!

Well, there's still not much in the way of Starbucks and in the winter time I may need reminding of why I live here! lol! But, there is some really beautiful country around here.
